CAKE waffles

I just want to make sure you guys know this is possible. I don't know why I never thought of it before, but I'm glad some random photo popped up in front of my face with the caption "Cake waffles make homemade icecream sandwich" CAKE waffles. I decided to try the ice cream part later. I had a yellow cake mix in the kitchen and I didn't waste any time. I wasn't sure about the amount of cake batter needed in round one- I made a mess my mother would cringe at. (And that easy clean waffle maker is a lie!) Round two was better, only... 10 more rounds to go.

Waffles were coming out the ying yang. Luckily my Mom loves cake more than eating actual food, and made them disappear before they went bad. I had icing in the fridge that I put on some, whipped cream too. But they were delicious plain. I imagine myself in the future making waffle cakes for my children instead of birthday cakes. Yes, waffle cakes can do this to me.

So simply enough, use cake batter exactly like you would waffle batter. And don't use too much like a fool, because that's a mess no one needs to encounter.
