Hi guyz! I'm 18, still surviving high school in the Midwest. I live in a town of close to 5,000 people, that may help you understand some of my anecdotes on here. I am going to college to get a degree in studio arts in the fall(surprise, she has a blog, takes photos and wants to be an artist). My reasoning being art is where I feel at home. It's like breathing, effortless, not really a question. That doesn't mean I'm fantastic at it. Mediocre at best at any one of the "arts" I practice. So I decided to study it in college. Because it's homey to me and it makes me happy, and I don't know if that's a very good reason, but it's the one i'm sitting on. My main "creative outlet" would be photography. I'm also pretty fond of graphic design, though I don't have very much practice behind that. I designed a few myspace layouts when Myspace was cool and I get extremely giddy when I get to redesign my own blog. But beyond that, it's limited. I try to keep my hands/mind busy. I also bake pretty frequently. Still learning to cook, batter is much more familiar than... a stove. But with my move to KCMO in the summer, I will have time and space to practice. I love a lot of things. I want to learn everything I see. I want to be a master seamstress blogging through the world while I take pictures and design at the same time. And so here begins my journey (or over there, there in 2011) and I hope you'll stick around to share your own. And inspire the hell out of me (because you all really do) and I'll try my best to do the same for you.
What is your blog about?
On any given day, you're likely to see a wide range of anything and everything I listed up top. I want to keep this blog free and limitless. One day you may see a recent DIY, and the next a sob story about how stressed out I always make myself am. I post what I'm feeling, loving, and finding inspiring in hopes that maybe some of you can take some of that inspiration away with ya. Of course you'll see playlists, outfits, DIY, weekly photos, FOOD, and other fun things you can find around the internet, but I also want to go places with this blog, and I want you guys to come, too. If anything, I'd be happy just to put a smile on someones face on a bad day, or maybe save the planet, too?
What camera(s) do you use?
-In April of 2011 I got my very first dslr. It's a Nikon D5000, and I love her to death. I also have a 50 mm - F/1.8 nikon lens that's a dream, and a 55 mm - 200 mm - F/4.0-5.6 that I use at shows or "arena" events.
- All the the polaroids photos are taken with my three land cameras. Colorpack II & III, and my 420.
Thank you all for visiting, I'm so glad you're here!
